Android isn’t a desktop operating system, they say. Who’s they? Not Jide. This company sees the inside of a PC as the ideal location for that green little bugdroid. Not long ago it released a low-powered PC running an experimental version of Android adapted to desktops. Now that software is available to download directly from Jide’s website, which you can then flash to an Intel-based PC of your choice.

The Remix OS for PC download comes in at 692.15MB. Jide is calling this the developer version, and to grab the zip, you must check the box saying that you’re a developer and you understand that this alpha build may be a hot mess.

To get started, you need a USB 3.0 flash drive with at least 8GB of space and preferably a writing speed of 20MB/s. You can get instructions on how to install the operating system at the link below.
